Oceanic Melt Blown Filter Cartridges Manufacturer
mmp has been manufacturing Oceanic Melt Blown Filter Cartridges from its Ahmedabad facility since 1994. As a direct manufacturer, every Oceanic cartridge is produced in-house, from raw material to finished product, with no outsourcing, no middlemen, and no compromise on quality.
The Oceanic range is one of mmp's flagship water filtration products, built on over three decades of melt-blown filter manufacturing experience. Each cartridge is made from 100% virgin polypropylene, processed under controlled conditions to form a consistent three-layer gradient structure that delivers reliable filtration performance across a wide range of applications.

The Oceanic Melt Blown Water Filter cartridge is a high-density depth filter made entirely from virgin polypropylene, one of the most chemically compatible materials for water filtration. There are no binders, no adhesives, and no added chemicals in the construction.
The manufacturing process involves extruding polypropylene fibres through tiny holes under pressure and high temperature on a rotating mandrel. It is formed in 3 layers of gradually reducing density - from coarsest at the outside to finer towards the inside. In that layer structure, the filter works: large particles stay outer and finer ones get filtered towards the inside when liquid is pumped there.
The Oceanic cartridge is available in lengths from 5" to 70", inner diameters from 20–35mm, and outer diameters from 40–114mm. Micron ratings range from 0.5 to 100µ, covering everything from fine prefiltration to coarse sediment removal. Maximum operating temperature is 60°C, with a flow rate of 1 m³ per hour per 10" at 3.5kg/cm².
This ultra-high-density version was manufactured to filter higher load requirements than conventional melt-blown filter cartridges, which are more frequently used in industrial and commercial services.
Three-Layer Gradient Filtration
The Oceanic 40 Inch Melt Blown Filter Cartridge and other sizes in the range are built with a true gradient density structure. Outer layers capture larger particles; the inner core traps fine ones. This staged approach maximises dirt-holding capacity and keeps differential pressure lower for longer.
100% Virgin Polypropylene Construction
Every component, including fibre, core, and end caps, is made from virgin polypropylene. No recycled materials, no binders, no extractables are used. Suitable for applications where product purity and material safety matter.
NSF Certified
The NSF certification for our Oceanic cartridges is independently verified with documentation for quality, safety, and performance. It’s appropriate for use in drinking water, food & beverages, pharmaceutical pre-filters, and any use where documentation is required.
High-Density Build
The high-density construction gives Oceanic cartridges more filter mass per unit volume compared to standard melt-blown cartridges. This translates directly to better filtration efficiency and a longer service interval before replacement is needed.

Available from 0.5 to 100 microns and in lengths from 5" to 70", the Oceanic range covers a broad spectrum of filtration requirements without needing custom manufacturing for most standard applications.
Chemical Compatibility
It's the nature of polypropylene to withstand numerous chemicals, acids, alkalines, and typical process chemicals. The Oceanic filter cartridge will work well with water-based process liquids for industrial, commercial, and food processing uses.
Easy Installation
Standard inner and outer diameter dimensions mean the Oceanic cartridge fits directly into most existing filter housings without modification. No special tools or adapters are required for routine changeout.
No Fibre Shedding
The melt-blown manufacturing process bonds the fibres together structurally. There are no loose fibres that can shed into the filtered liquid. This is an important consideration in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and drinking water applications.
